Very Good Budget Wireless Earbuds
|Posted .The wireless earbuds from JVC are a great choice if you are looking for an inexpensive set of earbuds because you are either on a budget or need an extra pair to leave at work or in a gym bag. The sound quality is good and is comparable to wired earbuds that come with (or used to come with) most smartphones. Out of the box they are very simple to deploy. Taking them out of the case powers them up and puts them in pairing mode. After the initial pairing they connect automatically when they are removed from the case. Each earbud can be used independently which is a feature I like because I frequently use a single earbud and rotate from using the right or left one depending on where I am and what I am doing at the time. Either way I appreciate the flexibility. I also like that there is not an off and on button. Taking them out of the case powers them on and putting them back in turns them off. The sound quality of these earbuds is good and is about what I expected at this price range. They play quite loudly, and I had no trouble hearing what I was listening to. As you can see from the picture I posted, the earbuds do not have gel tips. The portion that fires into your ear is like the earbuds Apple used to include with their iPhones. Since a tight seal is not achieved, bass is barely discernible. I do not insert them too far into my ear canal because I find that to be uncomfortable, but instead let them sit loosely over my ear canal. Call quality was good indoors. Outdoors call quality is good if background noise is minimal. There is no App to adjust the sound settings so you will be dependent on the EQ of your source device to tweak the sound. Each earbud has a touch control that allows basic controls. The touch control works but I prefer to use my device for control. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-A charging cable. I was able to get about 6 hours of use before they needed to be put back in the case for charging. The Bluetooth version is 5.1 and has excellent range. I was easily able to move 25-30 feet away without the connection being compromised. The earbuds are rated as rainproof (IPX4). The codecs are A2DP/AVRCP/HFP. Since I cannot keep a pair of expensive headphones everywhere I go, and I dislike transporting earbuds back and forth, I am using these JVC earbuds as my leave at work earbuds. At work I usually listen to music in the background. and they fulfill that role for me quite nicely. They will not satisfy audiophiles, but for non-reference listening they sound good, work reliably, and are budget friendly.

Budget friendly, true wireless sound…
|Posted .JVC has nailed what I’ve found to be a pretty difficult target- comfortable ear buds with decent quality sound and true effortless wireless function. Out of the box, I was really impressed with how many features and functions were packaged into a product that sets you back less than $30. I was a big fan of wired JVC Gumy earbuds back in the day, particularly for their value and quality before wireless really took off, and it seems like they’ve hit that sweet spot again. The buds come housed in a matte black magnetic snap-top case with power level indicator lights and (love this) a USB-C charging cable port, and they slide easily and firmly into their respective charging ports on top. Once closed, the case is relatively small, and fits pretty comfortably in your pocket or bag for easy transport. The buds themselves are a little larger than the standard Apple form factor I’m used to, but they nestle in to my ears pretty comfortably, and the short stems allow them to be fairly low profile and barely noticeable. My wife (smaller ears) said they started off feeling a little larger in her ears, but as she settled into the feel for them while running, and over the long haul said that they felt fine. As a person that hates ear pods with those swappable rubber tips, the form factor is spot on with my liking. The Bluetooth 5.1 is great, the pods paired easily with my phone and iPads, with zero lag issues and decent range around the house and yard. Battery life thus far has been great, they are advertised as 22 total hours (4 on the pods, 18 on the case), I’ve put about twelve plus hours on them out of the box at full charge and just got past halfway on the indicator lights. Easily get three hours plus on the pods alone, my most continuous use of ear pods is at night watching movies or videos on my iPad, and I have no issue getting through a movie. The tap controls are good and mirror the functions you see and expect on $100+ headphones with volume and track control at your fingertips, and you can ride a solo bud in either left or right ear. Not features I expected at such a low price, really adds the value on the spend. It’s also great to have IPX-4 water resistance rating as well, they will absolutely get some miles with sweat and possibly some rain as I like to walk with music or a podcast, another great feature for the cost. Sound quality is good…which is what you hope for at the price point. I’m not expecting audiophile quality here, and the bass can certainly feel a little shallow at times, which is natural in buds that don’t seal the ear (hate those rubber ear tips). The midrange is full and pronounced, and the highs aren’t too tinny- music gets a good treatment with great clarity. Movies and videos on my iPad are great, and they’ve been more than serviceable for phone calls as well. I work at home and take calls often while walking around outside for fresh air, I haven’t registered any real issues with ambient noise being an issue in my hearing, or having folks not being able hear me well. On the whole, you probably will be challenged to find the same level of quality or pop for the dollar with a great long-time name brand behind it like JVC- there’s a lot of features and a lot of bang for your buck. Definitely would recommend for all-around use, at no significant dent to your wallet.

Surprisingly decent quality
|Posted .I'm a bit of a headphone snob so I really wasn't expecting much from these earbuds, especially considering the price. However after some play time with these, I'm quite impressed with the quality of these and even more so at this price point. My everyday earbuds are either my Beats Fit Pro or Sony MX3. Really love the sound quality out of those however, they also command s hefty price tag. Sure, you can get cheaper earbuds from Sony and pretty much any other brand however, they tend to lack big time in the sound quality department. These JVC earbuds fit that nice sweet spot for your average consumer that wants good quality earbuds without paying $100+ for them. This is a no frills kind of earbud so all you get in the package is the charging case, earbuds and USB-C charger. There aren't any carrying cases or extra ear tips like you'd expect with other brands. The case itself is quite small so it'll easily fit in your pocket. Enclosed are the equally small earbuds. Pairing is quite simple on my iPhone. Took all of 2 minutes and I was listening to music. The fit of these earbuds is so-so. With my other earbuds, I get annoyed that come with different size ear tips as they just pile up in one of my desk drawers. These earbuds, I almost wish they DID have extra sized tips included. While these fit pretty well in my ears, they're not quite as snug as I'd like them to be. Any violent/sudden movement and these will pop out for sure however, for the most part, they stay in pretty well. They tend to move around in my ear a bit so I found myself adjusting them frequently to get a good seal. Sound quality is surprisingly good. I listen to a lot of EDM music so I like hearing those deep, thumping bass notes. The JVC buds don't quite have that great a range as the Sonys do however, you get a little thump whenever there are bass heavy notes/sounds being played. I'd say the range on these earbuds is pretty standard; not terrible but not that great. For the casual consumer, I think these will work just fine for those needs. Phone quality was equally good. I did hear some echoing but it tended to be sporadic so not sure if was my BT connection or something else. In any event, for phone calls, these work just fine. Overall, I'd say these are a good buy as they're quite inexpensive, wireless and decent sound quality. For the average person, I think these will work just fine for those subway rides to work or while at the gym.

Good backups
|Posted .The true wireless earbuds are a great backup. The size is a good fit for travel. You might lose them because they are so small but overall good size. They are hard plastic and can withstand a little rough and tough but not too much. Bluetooth is instantly recognizable. Hook up happens within seconds. Very easy. Power supply is ok. I can use them sporadically all day and recharge them over night for a next day use. Touch control is pretty cool. Takes a little getting use too and a little sensitive. Rain proof is relative but I don’t make a habit of using electronics in the rain. The microphone is ok but not the best and leaves much to be desired so again my statement that these earbuds are a great backup. Or if the price is right and you are interested to try hard plastic earbuds these are a good introduction. Since there are so many wireless earbuds options I think it’s a good idea to have options like the jvc true wireless earbuds, decent usability, decent design and decent function.

No Frills - Minimalistic
|Posted .These JVC Earbuds are no frill. They don’t have ear wings or foam/rubber ear tips, no sound isolation or active noise cancellation, no mobile app and very limited documentation is supplied with the earbuds. What they do have is a minimalistic design that sits or basically hangs comfortably in my ears. The audio quality is surprisingly nice for earbuds in this price range. The bass isn’t the strongest but the mids and highs sounded bright and clear. You can use these earbuds singularly or as a pair. Although the supplied documentation doesn’t mention it anywhere I was able to use these for answering phone calls and the audio quality and microphone worked reasonably well. Also I found that I could access Siri by tapping and holding the left earbud until I heard beep. In the fine print of the supplied documentation there is a url listing where you can access the on-line user manual which has adequate instructions on phone call control and accessing a virtual assistant. When you remove the earbuds from the case the LED on the earbud flashes rapidly showing that they are in pairing mode. You then pair them using the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device. Once paired the LED flashes at a slower rate showing they are connected. They can only pair with a single device so you need to disconnect from one device before you connect to a new one. There is also voice indicators telling you when the earbuds are turned on/off, when they are ready to pair and when they are connected/disconnected. They have an IPX4 rating so its safe to use them for exercising. The buttons on each earbud are touch sensitive and are easy to engage. Each earbud has an LED to indicate that its charging when in the case. The case has LEDs to indicate the power level and a USB-C cable is included to charge the case. It takes about two hours to fully charge the earbuds and about three hours to charge the case. The earbuds should last about 7.5 hours per charge and the case should provide two additional full charges so you can get about 22 hours of use between having the recharge the case. Overall as inexpensive true wireless earbuds these performed well but the lack of features may limit their value to some users.

Sound not loud and uncomfortable
|Posted .Just ok wireless Ear buds. I was thinking finally an affordable set of wireless headphones. The setup and sound quality are just lacking. Setup: It took me several hours holding down the touch stem to enter pairing mode to connect to my Iphone 13. I could only get one to work initially. I had to reset them and put both earbuds in pairing mode by pressing each till they flashed then paired to my phone. This was unlike any other experience I have had. Usually pairing mode connects both the left and right ear bud. Pros: They are affordable Good Battery life USB C charging Good for just voice audio calls Cons: Sound does not get very loud Sound is very neutral no bass or treble Volume and audio control is complicated They are uncomfortable for prolonged use. In the end I think they are ok but I personally would rather spend the extra for a more premium pair where you can have different ear tips and a fuller sound. If they at least were louder then I could see them being a good option. There just simply is so much out there that is better to choose from for the price point.

Good value for what they are
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. These are a good choice for persons like me who do not want to be isolated from their surroundings when in public. They are not a good choice for someone who requires big bass or something that wedges tightly in your ear while exercising. I find them more than acceptable for pod cast and audiobook listening at my favorite coffee shop or while out for a walk. Music is OK if you can boost the low mids and bass.

Cost Effective, Quality Earbuds!
|Posted .I was looking for cost-effective earbuds and got JVC True Wireless Earbuds (HA-A3T). The package came with a pair of earbuds, a charging case, and a USB cable. Setup is easy and configured with my iPhone 13 pro max via Bluetooth. I have tested the call quality and sound quality by playing music from YouTube. The music quality is great and call quality is excellent from these wireless earbuds. It fits perfectly on the ears. Battery life is good, and it provides 22 hours of battery life with a charging case. With quick charging capability, 90 mins of playtime can be achieved by charging for 15 minutes. With 11mm dynamic drivers, it provides a high-quality listening experience for music and calls. I was wearing these earbuds for office calls and to listen to music for a long period of time. There is absolutely no issue wearing this for a long period of time. It is IPX4 waterproof rated and resistant to sweat and rain. Earbuds can be used as a single side as well and voice assistant functions can be done on the earphone itself. It is definitely cost-effective earbuds from JVC.
