- A:Answer The microphone is used when answering phone calls. That way the phone can stay in your pocket or where ever it happens to be. Tap the remote button to answer the call. Also, if you have an iPhone, the microphone can be used to operate Siri. Simply push the remote button until you hear a beep to activate Siri.
