I have always been in love with apple products, and my very first gadget was an iPod touch in 2012 ... since then I have been buying apple products and I am still satisfied with the quality and performance of their products but with the battery is another different point of view, even tho this new iPod touch is what I just needed for my subscriptions and downloadable music. I love music, and it sounds wonderful on my iPod obviously the con is that if we want better earphones it is necessary to pay almost the same price we paid for the gadget just to get EarPods but the ones that come with the iPod sound good.
My husband loves using this ipod. He says it saves him from storing all his music on his phone. It is such a great sidekick to have because it does so much more than stores all your music, has the ability to add all kinds of apps, i.e, facetime, email, maps, books, etc, even has a decent camera for everyday shots. We love using the Bluetooth feature to play music throughout the house. Although we bought a separate protective cover for it, we love the pretty blue color of the ipod even though you don't see much of it with the cover on it.
My experience buying my iPod touch was great the website told me they had the model storage space and color that I wanted in stock when I got to the store it was there I purchased it. I ordered a case for it from Best Buy at a later date because they didn’t have one in stock, I now have it on the iPod I am happy.
I fought till the end about going to the ipod touch. Loved my ipod classic. Classic wasnt staying charged long, etc
Easy to use. I love that i can make playlists from the ipod touch.
Can't complain about the classic. It lasted many years. Hopefully I'll get just as many years from this one.
This is the iPod touch. If you're buying it, you probably already know what it can do.
The camera is not that great. Battery life is not that great, especially when compared to Apple's latest phones. Video quality is so-so. The screen is tiny.
So why did I buy it?
It's a good device for my kid. That's why. He can download apps, create videos and edit them in iMovie, etc. He can take photos, and I can text him when he's on WiFi.
He's only 10, and I don't want him to have a full-fledged phone. He's learning the iOS eco-system, which is great, because he's eventually going to have an iPhone.
And he can do a lot on this little machine. Videos. Pictures. E-books. Facetime. Text. It's a perfect starter for a young kid. And with the 128GB storage space, he can take a lot of videos and a lot of pictures before we have to start talking about data management.
If you're looking for a cheap device for a young kid who's just getting started with Apple products, this is a great way to go.
I am glad I got this iPod. I am one who doesn’t want a streaming service because I have all the music I want to listen to and my iPod stores all of that. What I love the most is that I decided to get the 128 gig, because my old 32 gig was running out of space. I am thankful Apple decided to make a more recent iPod and hope they will continue to make the iPod because I will always buy it.
Bought this for my son to play games, take pictures, and listen to music. Works great and it's nice being able to share subscriptions and manage his usage through my Apple ID.
My only real issue with it would be the camera really isn't that great. I would expect it to be at least as good as an older generation iPhone within the last handful of years but it feels much more dated. Not a big deal for me but could be something worth considering if you really want a decent camera out of it.

Big Fan of the IPod
Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.
I’ve always been a big iPod fan, rather than my phone using my phone. My 4,000 song collection plus downloads of my favorite podcasts every day. I already have an iPod Touch but I just want another one in case Apple stops making them.

iPod touch (2019) Review: The Cheapest iOS Device Has Some Trade-OffsThe iPod touch is a decent option if you want in on the vast array of iOS apps, including those that feature AR but don't want to pay more than $200 for the privilege. But even a used iPhone would give you those benefits, along with longer battery
The Rewind: iPod touch 7th-gen — a legitimate Apple Arcade portable gaming machine? It's been about eight months since I first reviewed the 7th-generation iPod touch , and since that time both iOS 13 and Apple Arcade, two releases that significantly affect the hardware, have been released. How well has the iPod touch 7 held up
Apple iPod touch (7th generation) initial review: Still here for the non-streamersFor those still wanting a high capacity, diminutive music and video player that isn't an iPhone, the iPod touch offers a compelling choice.
A:AnswerAs a music lover myself, I too have over 5,000 songs in iTunes. I chose the 128gb because the 64gb just had enough memory. This way, with the 128gb, if you chose to add more music, you'll still have space without having to delete any of your favorites.
A:AnswerIt lasts 40 hours but it lasts me all day til the battery
is in red and I have all the background app refresh off
on all apps except for music especially when I go out riding
it lasts all day long!
A:AnswerI've had the apple IPod 7th gen for a few weeks now, the battery life is pretty amazing, i'd say about 17-19 hours. I'm not sure how much longer than the 5th or the 6th because I never owned those gens.
A:AnswerNo, not directly from Nano to iPod but you can transfer your music from your Nano to your iPod Touch as long as it is on the same computer as ITunes. Sync your Nano with iTunes then sync and transfer that music to your Touch. If you have other music on your computer (ripped from CDs or downloaded from Amazon, etc.), using iTunes, you can add that to your Touch, too. Open up iTunes and under the "File" menu item, you'll see "Add File to Library..." and "Add Folder to Library..." If your music is in one folder or other places, use this menu option to add music on your computer hard drive to iTunes. Once that is done, sync your music to your iPod Touch. My music is in playlists and I sync my playlists but you can choose to sync your whole library using iTunes. I also sync my iTunes to my Android phones in addition to every Gen of iPod I've owned (3rd & 4th Gen Touch, 5th Gen Nano-w/the camera and a 16 GB Nano my sister won in a raffle-but only 1 playlist). You have to use iTunes to sync stuff with your Touch (movies, tv shows, photos, email, calendar, etc.). I've loved all of my iPods. My last trip to Disneyland in 2019, I took my current 5th Gen iPod touch to use as my camera (in addition to my music). The park had free wifi so the photos uploaded to my cloud account for immediate sharing wity my family and friends with me at the park. When I got home, I synced using iTunes so they were available on my computer. iTunes is the answer.
