Already had to reset breaker after a week!!!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.We bought the unit on 12/30/19 but finally got it installed by Best Buy this past Saturday on 1/18/20. We had an electrician install new 6/3 gauge wire and 50 amp breaker per installation guide to make sure there was no issues. Now after just a few days we could not turn off the unit. It became unresponsive while it was still on!!! I had to reset the unit by flipping the breaker off/on. The user guide has no troubleshooting for if the unit touch screen buttons do not respond. This is super disappointing after spending $2000 for the cooktop and electrician!! And off course now that it is installed it is showing in our BestBuy account that it is none returnable! Buyer beware! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

Awesome cooktop!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.So happy to have received our LG electric cooktop. We already had one in place and I dropped a glass jar on it accidentally and it splinted so a new one was needed. This is the only one that fits our opening so we were lucky and so glad to get it!

Great Cooktop
||Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This is the second cooktop we have received… the first one was taken out by lightning in a storm in May 2021. This is an Excellent cooktop… this is why we got the same one. We love everything about this cooktop!

Q: QuestionI have read the reviews on the LG cooktop on several websites and one I see is the bubbles that come up on the surface of the cooktop. Is that a defect or does it come that way? Can you provide close up photos?

- A:Answer They aren't bubbles. They're obviously LG's attempt to have a sub-surface that's either different from every other cooktop out there or, an attempt to help camouflage any streaks you might have from cleaning (they're uniform). I don't care how well you clean this or any top. You will have a streak or "10" on the surface. It's glass. Hence, streaks. Even using the supplied cleaner. The best, and only way I know of to have no streaks is to clean with any decent grease cleaner and then "squeegee" it off. No streaks. Performance wise. You won't be unhappy with this thing. Boils water 30% faster then any gas appliance I've ever used. Cooks fast, and clean. Buy it and you won't even notice the texture under the glass in 2 weeks. Hope this helps. Oh yeah. Buy a 6 dollar squeegee.
