Very happy with this product
||Posted .The infant optics baby monitors are the best out there. The video quality is great, especially the night vision. Everything is so clearly visible in the night even if its pitch black in our daughter's room. The large monitor screen makes it super easy to see. The sound quality is very clear and the active noise reduction works pretty well. I love the bar on the side that shows the sound level. I like that even if I have the sound off, I can tell at a glance if the baby is crying or not. Overall my wife and I are very satisfied with this product.

Easy and clear
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Just got the DRX-8 Pro to replace a traditional monitor that did not quite give us the piece of mind we’d like. Out of the box the camera and monitor is very intuitive and easy to use without even needing the quick start guide. Image is very clear, even in low light conditions. The camera’s movement is extremely quiet, making it great for moving when our baby is sleeping. Only draw back is that the camera unit does have to be plugged into a power source at all times. I may have missed that in the description, but had hoped it was rechargeable like the receiver. Overall I still recommend this and think 5/5 stars is appropriate.

Great camera!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Great camera, the picture is very good well as the night vision. The sound is great with a push to talk feature. I like that the camera display turns itself off after a period of time, but the sound continues. The battery life is decent, I am sure there is a way to configure the settings. I did have to buy the wide view lens, it was not expensive, but it provided a better angle for the crib. I also bought the adjustable mount too, that way we could mount it on the crib

Huge improvement over the regular DXR-8
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. We bought the original Infant Optics DXR-8 because we wanted a non-WiFi baby monitor. The upgrade from the original to the DXR-8 Pro is night and day. 1) The 720p resolution is AMAZING. I can finally see my baby at night (the old version was always blurry and hard to see). You can see their eyes and everything that they are doing very clearly. 2) The wider screen is a big upgrade 3) Much easier to adjust the volume, etc. 4) The monitor beeps when it needs to be recharged. I'm sure that there are other pluses to this version that I'll discover over time.

Great monitor!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This monitor is great! I really like the quality of the picture and the visual sound indicator on the parent unit. The only thing I wish were different about this monitor is that it had a small belt clip on the parent unit. There is a very nice stand to keep the unit propped up on a table, but if you are moving around the house and do not have pockets, you have to either hold the monitor or tuck it in your waistband and hope it doesn’t fall. This is a nit-picky thing, but this monitor really is awesome in every other way! A belt clip would make it 100% perfect.

Great monitor for first time moms.
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I researched plenty of infant monitors since our VTech had died. This was a top rated monitor and upon receiving it, I am very pleased with my purchase. The monitor is very clear at night and the screen is the perfect size to keep along with me while I do my chores. It’s very easy to use and I love the pan & tilt since I move the baby back and forth between the crib and her pack n play.

Big improvement over DXR-8
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.Had the DXR-8 (non-pro version) but the microphone stopped working after being moved several times. This version improves all of my pet peeves from the older model. Noise cancellation helps reduce the hum of the microphone when at your bedside (although it sometimes blocks out too much noise). The light on the side can be dimmed which is also a plus for a light sleeper. Range seems better, and although not necessary for me, the bigger screen is nice.

Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro Baby Monitor ReviewWe tested the original DXR-8 baby monitor back in 2014. In the time since, Infant Optics has released a couple of more affordable models, but seven years later, the popular baby monitor is finally seeing an upgrade in the form of the $199.99 DXR-8

Q: QuestionWhat is the range? I would like the monitor upstairs but I need to be able to see/hear downstairs.
Asked by Frankie.
- A:Answer The monitor has a range extender because it has an antenna. My monitor sometimes disconnects as I’m downstairs.
