I had trouble finding a built-in microwave with a large capacity and after having 2 GE models that stopped working in the last 5 years, I definitely did not want one of those again.
Trim kit and microwave look good and clean, buzzer is LOUD even on the low setting (which I do like for the timer) and goes off over and over until opened or stopped.
Overall it cooks, heats, and defrosts well and the quick start 30 second starter is very convenient. Easy to use with nicely lit up clock.
Nice looking. Heats very quickly. It's huge inside. The keypad is pretty easy to use and only has a few useless buttons. The keypad has a nice feature: if you want to heat something 2 min, you just press 2. If you want to heat it 2 and a half minutes, you press 2-3-0 then start. No Cook Time button to press. A couple complaints about functionality: 1. you can't manually change the power level while it is heating, only before you press Start. 2, can't turn the turntable off. 3. the "done" chime is too loud and persistent. But all in all, I like it a lot. Now, about the purchase: This is a built-in unit. Two BB associates came to my home to look at and measure the opening. They tracked down the right unit to match the oven just below it, and then placed the order for me. The delivery delay was the shortest of the several places I shopped. Curbside pickup was easy and very fast (2 min). Only complaint here is that the item initially arrived damaged (dented). probably not BB's fault. Had to reorder it, which they did relatively seamlessly, and the second unit arrived on time and intact.
We were remodeling our kitchen and decided to get a new microwave. Our old one worked fine but this one seemed to match all of the appliances better. They didn't have this model in any of our local stores so we went by reviews and by the write up. We narrowed it down between this model and a model by Sharp. We ultimately decided to go with this one because the Sharp model had a "blue" display as it stated in the description, meaning the numbers illuminate blue. All of our appliances light up with green numbers. We were surprised, after getting it installed, that the display was white/blue display. It never stated that anywhere in the description. It is an excellent Microwave has great features and works well. Just thought anyone that was trying to match their current appliances would want o know.
This microwave is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a “built in”. Microwave and this did the job. I purchased the microwave with the optional trim kit and it looks amazing. The fact that the black stainless matched flawlessly to Samsung’s black stainless appliances that I have I. The rest of my kitchen was a bonus. There is more than ample cubic space inside for large dishes. I guess if there was one thing I could nitpick is the fact that I’ve always been used to the START button being on the right of the ZERO button and I keep hitting the STOP button lol. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a black stainless built in microwave with a great price tag.

A:AnswerGood question! This microwave can stand alone on a counter-top or be built in with the optional 30"
or 27" Trim Kit which includes the Bottom Duct Assembly. If you install it in a cabinet, it must have a full plywood base able to support 100 lbs. A minimum 20" deep oven cutout dimension is critical for proper installation for the oven and the face-plate to fit flush against the cabinet front. ~ Brandi
A:AnswerGreetings, Esibella. Yes, this model is compatible with a couple 27" and 30" trim kits. The 27" trim kits that are compatible with this model microwave are the Black Stainless Steel Trim Kit (PN # MWTK27FGUD) and the Stainless Steel Trim Kit (PN # MWTK27FGUF). -Alexis
A:AnswerHello MassConsumer. Built-in microwaves are not designed to vent the same as an over-the range microwave, the do not require outside venting. When installed in a cabinet, it must have a full plywood base able to support 100 lbs. Additionally, a depth cut-out minimum of 20" is required for proper installation of the microwave and the face-plate to fit flush against the cabinet front. ~ Anna
A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry, Dan! In researching, we were able to see you can use this microwave over a single built in wall oven. When used in combination with another built-in product, a minimum clearance of 3" required from bottom of Built-In Microwave cutout to top edge of companion product’s faceplate, leaving a 2-1/8" visible gap between both product faceplates. We hope this information was helpful to you and your shopping experience. -Ciara
